Audio Visual Hospitality Account Executive

This role, located in Colorado Springs, CO, has a salary range of $75,000- $80,000.

Job Summary for the Audio Visual Hospitality Account Executive.

The Audio Visual Hospitality Account Executive will sell audiovisual equipment and services at a specific hotel or venue to capture maximum business and revenue. This position will also communicate directly with clients, hotels, and Inspire Operations to ensure meeting success. The Account Executive will manage clientele accounts exceeding 100K-850K total spend per program.

Summary of essential job functions for the Audio Visual Hospitality Account Executive.

  • Primary responsibility for sales at the property; generates quotes, corresponds with clients, and targets revenue goals for high-end production
  • Works directly with the client to determine their meeting needs and perspective, and match to Audio Visual services and products. If a client is working with an outside Production company, efforts are made to partner with the Production company to capture revenue in the form of cross-rental
  • Works closely with hotel sales staff and others to contact upcoming clients and secure Production business.
  • Participates in on-site and off-site visits with prospective clients as well as pre and post-event meetings
  • Negotiates directly with clients and vendors to secure business and client vision
  • Works closely with operations to consult on the selection and acquisition of AV equipment and labor, however, it is the expectation that previous Production Operations experience is utilized.
  • Review final billing directly with the client and obtain approval of all Audio Visual charges
  • Negotiates billing if necessary to ensure complete client satisfaction
  • Follows up with all clients through thank you letters and post-event service evaluations
  • Demonstrate evidence of organization and accountability in the position
  • Uphold excellent customer sales and service skills under pressure
  • Articulate in communicating ideas, concepts, and directions clearly and concisely
  • Maintain grooming to company standards and the standards of our clients
  • Maintain excellence in customer service, organization, and problem-solving
  • Complete a Job Cost on all events invoicing over $50,000 pre-tax
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • A College Degree is preferred but will consider equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a sales capacity in the AV, event, hotel, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of production experience whether in a Live Venue, Rental House, or Hotel.
  • High degree of demonstrated customer service, sales, and hospitality skills.
  • Proven experience in developing positive customer relationships and focusing at all times to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with capabilities of audio-visual equipment, set-up, and general operations including but not limited to Production Rigging, CAD, Video, Audio, and Lighting Systems
  • .Basic computer skills include Microsoft Office, networking, IT device management, and PC and Mac operations.

  • Possesses excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume, sometimes stressful team environment.
  • High degree of ownership and self-initiation skills as well as a positive professional demeanor.
  • Flexibility to accommodate a changing work schedule (night, weekends, early mornings) as needed to meet clients.
